What am I doing?
I’m up and down, seesawing.
Where’s right and where’s left?
Shivering with sweats.
Perplexed by what I should do.
Can’t tell hot from cold.
Gasping. Smothering.
Flailing at all around me.
Breathless. Panicky.
Can I overcome
this tsunami of self doubt?
What am I about?
I’ll fall. I’m afraid.
Can I reach out for a straw?
How can I be sure?
